Personal Trainer: dave merrick
I began Crossfit in 2013 after injuries prevented me from continuing to play rugby and practicing martial arts. I was looking for something that provided me with challenge of learning new skills and the team environment and camaraderie of football and I found that and more at Crossfit Feel Good.
I’ve had a diverse range of athletic experiences but nothing has provided the challenge and development like that I have experienced in Crossfit. Under the coaching of Ben Wadwell I have developed skills, strength and a level of fitness that I had not achieved at any other time in my life or through any other athletic endeavour. I can safely say that because of Crossfit, I am fitter at 40 than I was at 20 or 30.
Through training and competing with fellow athletes at Crossfit Feel Good I developed a desire to further my knowledge of the sport and was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to coach with Ben and Nick.
As an educator and teacher of more than 15 year experience, I love the new challenge of sharing these skills in a new context with the members of Crossfit Feel Good. It’s a privilege to work with the members at Crossfit Feel Good and play some role in their ongoing improvement and development.
